I've posted a lot of photos of the boys , and as most of you know, once you have children, your lives are over run by yo-gabba-gabba, bat man, or the discovery channel. I love having boys. It lets me promote every masculine thing about myself and it is indeed an investment . I may regret it twelve years from now when the boys are 18,17, and 16 years old but they are wonderful. Each of them so different in their personalities, attitudes, and aspirations.
Luke wants to be a paleontologist , Josh an Architect and Jude... who knows... I think he should be a doctor but that might just be the dream of a father who has no confidence in his nations ability to give him even a flat return for his SS contributions 20 years from now.
I hope all of you are doing well. God Bless.

lucas' birthday party

Well it's fathers day and all I can say is that I love being a father. I am truly blessed with three wonderful and vivacious boys and a beautiful wife who is an incredible mother. Since my last post I ran the Big Sur marathon and stayed very busy with the boys and school. I am going to post some random photos of the boys.

Wow! Well, you can see how consistent I have been with this blog. It's now March 6th, 2010. Luckily I am much "mo betta" at taking photos when we go out than I am about writing about it.
Today we went to one of our favorite places to spend time on the weekends, Point Lobos. The boys always have fun looking for crabs, starfish, shells and anything else slimy and colorful.
When we got to the park today it was almost high tide and all of the tide pools were...covered up by the tide. We opted to go for a short hike and soon found a beautiful little beach called China Beach. I think it took maybe 5 minutes before all of the boys were soaking wet. Raquel and I learned long ago that "resistance is futile" so we focus on keeping them from getting in the way of other peoples photos, throwing sand at each other, and of course getting swept away into the ocean.
One last note- I was looking through the photos and I noticed the one of Joshua doing what he does best - teasing Lucas. You can see the look on Luke's face. That is the look he gives to us that says "if you don't stop him, I'm going to handle this my way."
I usually let them settle it amongst themselves and will try not and get involved until blunt objects come into play.
You probably think I'm kidding. I'm not. Boys will be boys and we have three of them.

NEVER a dull moment at the Jiles residence.

¡Wow!
